Your career coach:

Mindset is key

Brand Ambassador Nathalie Pohl

Over the last 50 years, DVAG has established a firm foothold ahead of the competition. Being successful means constantly setting new goals and continuing to develop. This applies to the family-owned company as much as it does to every individual financial coach, and especially to Brand Ambassador Nathalie Pohl.

Learning from the extreme swimmer's experiences

It is not just successes that help you grow. Dealing with setbacks is almost as instructive. What matters is not how often you fail, but that you keep getting back up and come back even stronger. Hardly anyone knows this better than DVAG Brand Ambassador Nathalie Pohl. However, the path of the three-time world record holder was by no means a walk in the park. At the start of her open-water career and during her challenging crossings, there were many uncertainties.

What helped her? Keeping her eyes on the prize. She visualised her big dream over and over again so as not to lose heart in difficult moments. The extreme swimmer embodies success and the ability to push far beyond one’s own limits like no other. She is an inspiration. And she proves time and time again that the key to success is having the right mindset. It was only with the right attitude that she became the first German woman to swim across the seven most challenging straits in the world, the ‘Ocean’s Seven’.

A special commitment to children

The extreme swimmer also wants to pass on her great passion for the water to children. For years now, the Red Bull athlete has been championing swimming and, as a founding member of “DVAG hilft e.V.”, supports swimming projects across Germany. She does so with total dedication, as the 31-year-old regularly goes into the water with the children and gives them practical tips on learning to swim. Her goal is to show children how much fun you can have in the water and to encourage them to believe in themselves. That is why the SPIEGEL bestselling author (“Im Meer bin ich zu Hause” (The Sea Is My Home), 2024) also published a children’s book in September 2025: “Nanami – Schwimm dich mutig” (Nanami – Swim Your Way to Courage), in which the little seal Nanami takes children on a colourful and educational adventure. It therefore came as no surprise that Nathalie Pohl’s major swimming project in 2025 was also aimed at supporting swimming initiatives.

The extreme swimmer turned her world record attempt into a charity campaign. In October, she and her partner Andy Donaldson swam once around Ibiza, covering over 100 kilometres in just under 31 hours: a world record! They used this extreme challenge and the attention it generated to raise money for charity. In total, they raised over €150,000!
