Dein Karrierecoach:

Practical, well-founded, customised

How we train

A sound education and further training is essential. With its own academy, Deutsche Vermögensberatung (DVAG) offers a holistic and industry-wide unique programme that goes far beyond the legal requirements.

In addition to the relevant modules for brokering insurance and building society savings plans, financial investments and real estate loans, focus is also placed on personal development.

Setting standards

The approach to training management taken by Deutsche Vermögensberatung (DVAG) is unique, and provides the optimal introduction to working as a financial coach. The extensive training programme includes a variety of e-learning courses, face-to-face seminars and hybrid formats. This allows everyone to adapt the necessary learning workload to their individual schedules. To make this unique training programme possible, Deutsche Vermögensberatung (DVAG) also invested over €80 million in 2024. The goal was to not only maintain training quality at a consistently high level, but also to continuously optimise it.

Learning and networking

The foundations for the financial advisors' qualifications are laid in ten vocational training centres throughout Germany. Equipped with the latest technology, they provide the optimal setting for large hybrid events, but also for individual coaching. Our vocational education centres are places for lifelong learning and dialogue – because only those who regularly undergo further training will be successful in the long term.

Technically at the cutting edge

To be able to provide comprehensive advice, numerous qualifications are required. At Deutsche Vermögensberatung (DVAG), newcomers are optimally supported on theirlearning path to the required degrees. Training as a financial advisor is divided into four sections. The first three fulfil the legal requirements for brokering insurance and building society savings plans, financial investments and real estate loans. The fourth section focuses on skills that, while not required by law, are of great importance for success as an independent financial advisor, for example, entrepreneurship.

All aboard!

There are many ways to be successful as a financial advisor. A training program at Deutsche Vermögensberatung (DVAG) prepares junior staff for the areas of banking, insurance, investment and building society savings – and, of course, for providing financial advice. Together with their trainers, they become competent points of contact for their clients, offering them a holistic financial advisory approach. For those who can't decide between theory and practice, a dual study programme may be the right choice. It combines a course of study at the University of Applied Science (FHDW) in Marburg with practical training with a local financial advisor.

From day one, students take on demanding tasks independently, for example in customer care and office organisation. They are supported by an experienced coach. This practical approach gives students the best possible preparation for the challenges they will face in their future careers. And those who want more after graduating with a bachelor's degree can deepen their knowledge even further through the part-time master's programme.

Recognising and promoting leadership quality

The world of work is changing faster and faster. Today, leadership has taken on a completely different dimension than it had just a few years ago. So what is relevant for a modern manager? In the spring of 2024, Deutsche Vermögensberatung (DVAG) launched the Leadership Academy, a concept that is unique in the sector. The basis is promoting the six core competencies of leadership, communication, mindset, self-management, knowledge of human nature and the ability to lead partners to success. Promising sales talents receive first-class inspiration for their management career in small classes.

The speakers include presenters from proven partners, such as the Schulz von Thun Institute, as well as luminaries like Professor Dr Wolfgang Jenewein from St. Gallen University. In addition, each class is attended by an experienced financial advisor acting as a mentor who supports the participants with practical examples and actively guides and assists them.

Regularly deepening knowledge

What's new on the market? Which products will change in the future? It is essential for financial coaches to always be up to date. Flexibility is the key to making this happen in their daily work.

With innovative formats, such as our regular “Coaching Friday”, important innovations are presented in a compact format – digitally, without taking up much time and with the option to review them. As part of the format, successful financial advisors have their say, as do experienced fund managers or experts on the topics of investment and retirement provision.
