Sustainable acting

Bringing responsibility to life

Deutsche Vermögensberatung (DVAG) has been run as a family-owned company since 1975. Since then, it has pursued a strategy
based on future-proof thinking and value-orientated action.

Reliable support from others has always been of particular importance. For years, it has not only been the company that has assumed responsibility in the areas of climate protection, art, culture, science and sport. The financial coaches themselves also support various initiatives and associations throughout Germany and even organise their own charity campaigns.

Personal commitment makes all the difference

Over three years ago, Deutsche Vermögensberatung (DVAG) significantly expanded its social commitment yet again. Since then, the family-owned company has been a major sponsor of the charitable organisation "Menschen brauchen Menschen e. V." (MbM e. V.). The support is diverse and ranges from educational projects and swimming promotion to help for food banks. The wide-reaching support programme focuses on children and young people from disadvantaged families.

The founding members of MbM e. V. Nathalie Pohl and Annabell Pohl are also committed to supporting them. Nathalie Pohl, a successful extreme swimmer and world record holder, is the patron of numerous swimming projects and has also been in the water with the children herself. As part of the cooperation with the "German Children and Youth Foundation", Annabell Pohl is committed to giving girls and young women the opportunity to get a taste of scientific subjects and decide for themselves on a career, without prejudice.

As founding members, the work of "Menschen brauchen Menschen e. V." is a subject close to the hearts of Nathalie Pohl and Annabell Pohl

For children in need

Deutsche Vermögensberatung (DVAG)'s long-term partnership with MbM e. V. and "Tafel Deutschland e. V." as well as the "Stiftung RTL – Wir helfen Kindern e. V." foundation also plays an important role. The partnership with "Tafel Deutschland e. V." was extended for a further three years.

In addition, DVAG launched its own wide-reaching fundraising campaign together with MbM e. V.: the #Spendenwurf. The family-owned company collected a total of 500,000 euros this year and also took part in the RTL telethon for the fourth time.

Once again, Deutsche Vermögensberatung (DVAG) took part in the RTL "Spendenmarathon" in 2023
The team of „Rolling Lions Dresden“ is grateful for the support

DVAG has been supporting grass-roots sport for ten years. More than 20,000 teams and, as a result, over 300,000 people have been provided with jerseys by the financial advisors.

Financial advisor Jana Schindler presented two sets of jerseys to the "Rolling Lions Dresden" basketball team.

Giving something back to society

For Andreas Pohl, Chair of Deutsche Vermögensberatung (DVAG)'s Management Board, getting involved and giving something back has always been close to his heart. What's more, he is also personally committed to helping others through the company.

For example, at the start of the war in Ukraine, in addition to donating one million euros in emergency aid, he also organised numerous aid transports and made a comprehensive and long-term commitment to the flood victims in Germany. To recognise him for his commitment, Andreas Pohl was honoured with the "Legends Wings of Help Award".

Think sustainably, act sustainably

Every step counts when it comes to acting efficiently but with the environment in mind. When it comes to purchasing, vehicle fleet or building management, everyone at the Frankfurt headquarters works hand in hand to reduce CO2 emissions. And they managed it: for the third time, Deutsche Vermögensberatung (DVAG) has been awarded the "Climate-Neutral Company" seal, which will be called "Climate Contribution" in the future.

Over the past year, projects that had already been initiated were further implemented and expanded. For example, almost 50% of the company pool vehicles have already been successfully replaced with electric cars. In addition, EcoVadis confirmed the quality of Deutsche Vermögensberatung (DVAG)'s sustainability management with regard to ESG criteria in a comprehensive rating process.

Deutsche Vermögensberatung (DVAG) has been committed to helping others since its earliest days. For instance, the "Dr. Reinfried Pohl Stiftung" foundation involves the company backing research and teaching in Marburg, while the "Anneliese Pohl Stiftung" foundation supports cancer research. DVAG has also supported the association "Menschen brauchen Menschen e. V." since 2020. This organisation is dedicated to helping disadvantaged children and young people.
